This is one of the benefits of the blockchain in the health sector, as did the Ministry of Health and Prevention of the UAE (United Arab Emirates) and other authorities who released a platform for blockchain technology as data storage for digital health services.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) of the United Arab Emirates, together with the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, Dubai Healthcare City and other health care institutions launched a digital health services data storage platform.

This platform will be used to store data in the health sector, government and private facilities to store details of medicines.

According to Emirates News Agency, the project aims to improve the services of MoHAP and other partner authorities. This project has utilized advanced technology including AI and blockchain, as well as sophisticated equipment to bring about a paradigm shift in storing data and issuing digital health services.

This breakthrough will help in providing better access to improved search results for health facilities, along with professionals and licensed medical technicians and their expertise.

Dr Amin Hussain Al Amiri, Assistant Deputy Minister of Public Health Policy and License Sector at MoHAP, stated:

“This innovative platform emerged as a MoHAP strategy to develop smart systems and provide the best electronic smart services, to achieve customer pleasure and implement standards from the Telecommunications Regulatory Board and government smart enablers.”
